God To The Rescue!

About 9 am Sunday morning, Oct. 15th, 2017:

In times of trouble Christians call out to God for help and deliverance. Have we ever thought things such as why is it taking so long for God to answer my prayer or what is it that God wants from me or what is going on in the spirit world that is causing the delay? We have such thoughts and questions because of what we’ve learned through His Word. A lot of times, if not most of the time, we do not ask what is it that that the Lord wants us to come to the knowledge of in order that we may begin my journey (long or short) toward being set free?

I’m sure that most of have heard a version of the story of someone being told by the Lord, “I sent you a canoe, a boat and a helicopter but you never got in” after asking Him why didn’t He come to the rescue. Sometimes help is right there in front of our eyes and ears but because of misguided confidence in our belief system, we cannot and sometimes will not see or hear the very obvious answers to our delima.

Yes, God will take care of us but why is it that sometimes we had rather place our trust in something much less inferior to what He would have us to know, to understand and to follow? Many Christians may be stopping a little short of His perfect will when, “…according to Your will…” in a prayer for deliverance is all that God hears from us. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if once in a while we knew what His will specifically was and because of that we were enabled by the Holy Ghost to pray accordingly? Sadly, most of us don’t even ponder as to why we aren’t finding out what His will is.

From the heart meditate, consider and prayerfully think about this:

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. –I Timothy 1:5-7

If we truly are His then we will follow Him. Because of our pure heart, our good conscience and our unfeigned faith we can search to find what His will is. Because of our pure heart, our good conscience and our unfeigned faith we can journey toward praying according to His will. We can pray according to His will because we are walking in the Way and as we come to the knowledge of the Truth we are partaking of the Life—His Life. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. (See John 14:6 KJV)
